Busta Rhymes Honored with Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Hip-hop veteran Busta Rhymes has been officially honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, joining the ranks of music legends recognized for their contributions to the entertainment industry.

The unveiling ceremony took place on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles and was hosted by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The star is located at 6213 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the Eastown complex, and marks the 2,776th star on the Walk of Fame.

Trevor George Smith Jr., professionally known as Busta Rhymes, rose to fame in the early 1990s as a member of the hip-hop group Leaders of the New School before launching a successful solo career. Known for his rapid-fire delivery and energetic performances, he has released multiple platinum-selling albums and earned 12 Grammy nominations across his decades-long career.

At the ceremony, Busta Rhymes was joined by fellow artists, industry colleagues, family, and fans. He gave an emotional speech, expressing gratitude for the recognition and reflecting on his journey in music and entertainment.


“This is one of the greatest honors of my life,” he said. “I’m grateful to everyone who’s walked this road with me.”


The event featured tributes from longtime collaborators and friends, including Swizz Beatz and Fat Joe, who praised Busta’s influence on hip-hop culture and his dedication to the craft.

Busta Rhymes’ star adds to the growing list of hip-hop figures recognized on the Walk of Fame, underscoring the genre’s lasting impact on American music and global culture.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is administered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and honors individuals across five categories: Motion Pictures, Television, Radio, Recording, and Live Theatre/Performance.
