Disney Channel Star Carla Jeffery Dies at 33

Actress Carla Jeffery, who brought joy to millions of fans as cheer squad member Bree in Disney Channel’s ZOMBIES film series, passed away on September 1, 2026. She was 33 years old.

Her death was announced by her longtime talent agency, Alexanders Talent Management, which represented her for over two decades starting when she was just 12 years old.

"It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery," the agency stated.

"For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room. As Bree in Disney's hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world. Carla was more than a client; she was family."

An official cause of death has not been publicly released. The family has asked for privacy as they grieve.

Born on July 10, 1993, in Houston, Texas, Jeffery moved to Los Angeles as a child to pursue acting alongside her twin brother, Carlon Jeffery (who starred in Disney Channel's A.N.T. Farm). She made her film debut in 2006 alongside Mo'Nique in Phat Girlz.

Her versatile TV and movie resume spanned nearly two decades and included a range of comedy and drama credits.

News of Jeffery's death prompted an outpouring of tributes across social media from fans and co-stars.

ZOMBIES lead Milo Manheim shared a tribute on Instagram calling her "the sweetest, kindest, most loving person" and thanking her for "spreading so much joy".

Fellow franchise star Chandler Kinney remembered her as"the brightest shining light in any room she walked into."
