Pope Francis Dies at 88

Pope Francis, the first Latin American pontiff and a transformative figure in the modern Catholic Church, has passed away at the age of 88. Earlier this year, the pope was hospitalized with pneumonia in both lungs, which ultimately led to kidney failure.

In a poignant and powerful moment, he delivered what would become his final Easter message just hours before his passing. Known for his humility, progressive views, and unwavering advocacy for freedom and dignity for all people regardless of creed, Pope Francis served for 12 impactful years.
