A true creative force, Kayode Peters brought laughter, heart, and brilliance to Nigerian screens from Papa Ajasco and Face2Face to My Flatmates, and hit films like Survivors and Dream Job.
As an actor, director, and producer, he championed storytelling with soul and mentored many in the industry. His influence shaped a generation of Nigerian sitcoms and stage productions.
Peters was also a beloved figure in comedy theatre, and one of the architects of early 2000s Nigerian television. His work helped define the tone of modern Nigerian situational comedy and nurtured countless talents—on and off screen.
Kayode Peters’ passing is a major loss for Nollywood and African storytelling.
Our thoughts are with his wife, children, and loved ones.
Rest well, KP. Your light lives on through your work.
