Legendary Actor Chuck Norris Dies at 86

Chuck Norris, the martial artist, actor, and cultural icon whose career spanned decades of film, television, and internet folklore, has died at the age of 86.

His death reportedly follows a recent medical emergency in Hawaii, though details remain private at the family’s request. His family confirmed his passing, sharing that he died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

Born Carlos Ray Norris, he rose to prominence as a world champion martial artist before transitioning into Hollywood. His breakout role came opposite Bruce Lee in The Way of the Dragon, a defining moment in martial arts cinema.

Norris went on to lead a string of action films including The Delta Force and Missing in Action, before cementing his legacy on television as the star of Walker, Texas Ranger, a series that ran for eight seasons and made him a global household name.

Beyond the screen, Norris became a cultural phenomenon. The viral “Chuck Norris facts” of the early internet era transformed him into a larger-than-life figure-part man, part myth-introducing him to a new generation.

He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
