Davido Makes History With The FIFA World Cup

Nigerian music star Davido has been announced as one of the featured artists on the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album, joining Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado on the track No Place Like Home.

The milestone makes Davido the first African artist to contribute to FIFA World Cup soundtracks for two consecutive tournaments, further cementing his place on the global stage.

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the official album is one of the biggest music releases tied to the world’s largest sporting event — and Africa is well represented.

Here’s what the other stars you need to know about brought to the project:

• Rema features on Goals alongside K-pop star LISA and Brazilian artist Anitta

• Ayra Starr teams up with American rapper Latto on Show Me

• Tyla links with Future on Game Time, a hip-hop and Afrobeats fusion

• Stormzy appears on Blessings with Fridayy and Angel

• Burna Boy closes out the album with Shakira on Dai Dai, which also serves as the official song of the tournament

• Nora Fatehi and Vegedream collaborate with Sanjoy on Siir Siir

• French Montana is part of Three Nations alongside 21 Savage and Nata Cano

The 18-track album is FIFA’s most extensive music and culture project ever created for a World Cup, featuring artists spanning Afrobeats, K-pop, Latin, hip-hop, and pop.
