Nancy Isime is Style Royalty at Uyo Fashion Week

When Nancy Isime stepped on stage as the host of Uyo Fashion Week, the actress , no stranger to commanding a room, immediately captured attention. From the crown on her head to the dramatic silhouette of her dress, every detail felt intentional.

Nancy wore her hair in tiny, neatly woven braids gathered into a sculpted updo at the crown of her head, a hairstyle popularly known as Shuku. Rooted in Yoruba culture from Southwestern Nigeria, the style carried both elegance and cultural depth. It gave the illusion of a crown, accentuating her facial features beautifully. Simple enough not to compete for attention, yet striking enough to hold it completely.

For the outfit, the actress donned a custom Lanre Da Silva Ajayi piece and, if style royalty was the theme of the evening, she was undoubtedly on cue.

The dress featured a sweetheart neckline paired with a metallic gold bodice that resembled armor, flowing into a floor-length black skirt with an extended train. And just when the look already seemed dramatic enough, the oversized bow detail at the back elevated it even further. Fierce, regal, yet unmistakably feminine.

With hair that felt like an extension of the gown itself and a silhouette that celebrated structure and drama, Nancy Isime didn’t just wear fashion, she embodied it. The entire look formed a complete visual language, and honestly, we were enthralled.
